On 22nd Street in Historic Ybor City, coffee isn’t just a drink — it’s a legacy. Our story begins in Tampa’s famed cigar district, where Cuban, Spanish, and Italian immigrants shaped a neighborhood — and a coffee culture — that endures to this day. In the early 1900s, as “el Lector” read the daily news aloud in bustling cigar factories, workers sipped strong, stovetop brews at their rolling tables. For our grandparents, coffee was more than fuel — it was rhythm, ritual, and connection.
Old-World Roasting. New-Generation Flavor.
Those same values live on in 22nd Street Coffee. Born in the back of a neighborhood bakery, we’ve grown with one foot rooted in old-world tradition and the other pushing toward what’s next. Every roast we craft blends generational craft with modern precision — honoring where we came from, while fueling where we’re going.
We believe great coffee starts with care — and lives on through community. From Tampa to every cup we ship, we roast with purpose: fresh, flavorful, and ready to be shared.
